About Leah

I graduated from Loughborough College in 2006 in various Holistic Therapies, gaining 3 VCTC Diplomas and 3 VCTC Certificates. Over the years I have added to those qualifications, going on to study in stress reduction, Meditation and Mindfulness. I am also a member of the CMA (Complementary Medical Association) and adhere to their high standards of professional ethics, health and hygiene protocols. Whilst I make sure each treatment has a foundation level of technique and timing, I also adapt each treatment to suit the individual. I have worked in a number of different settings, from Sure Start Centres to Care Homes, from Clinics to peoples living rooms, and with all ages, from 3 weeks to 99 years old.  I have worked with athletes and disabled people, with those suffering from anxiety and those who have back pain. The main benefit of my vocation is meeting so many different people and helping them live healthy, happy lives. 

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the principle that reflex points on the feet are connected to corresponding areas throughout the body. In this way , the feet can be seen as a ‘map’ of the body. Reflexology stimulates and balances the body’s systems, working on both short term imbalances and long term health conditions. The treatment consists of on/off pressure techniques using the thumb and fingers on the feet, followed by a foot massage. As well as deeply relaxing, it is also effective for problems from headaches and back problems to stress and fertility problems. 50 mins – £35

Reiki

Reiki means ‘universal life energy’, and was founded in Japan by Mikao Usui in the late 19th century. The therapist uses energy flow from their hands to re-balance each of the energy centres, using intuition to guide the flow of energy. It is non-invasive therapy (no clothing is removed), and while you are either seated or lying down. The hands are placed either just above or gently placed on specific areas of the body. Some areas will be returned to where imbalances are found. Reiki is a very relaxing and peaceful treatment, which helps to restore a sense of balance and well-being within the mind and body. 50 mins – £35

Remedial/Deep Tissue Massage

Using a combination of Neuro-Muscular Technique (NMT), Deep tissue massage and Acupressure, remedial Massage is ideal for those suffering from pain, have long term problems with posture or are recovering from injury. It can also be ideal for those who prefer a deeper pressure during massage that is usual in Swedish or other types of holistic massage. I also include Oedema massage techniques for those suffering from an increase in fluid due to illness or post surgical complications. 1 hour – £35 or 30 mins £25

Swedish Massage

A classic massage which has stood the stood the test of time due to the highly effective techniques used. This massage is ideal for relaxing, de-stressing and undoing knots and tension bought on by poor posture and general daily stresses. It can also be an ideal gift or pamper treatment, and can be combined with a chosen oil blend to enhance the beneficial effects of the treatment. 1 Hour – £35 or 30 mins £25

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage concentrates massage techniques on the upper body, starting on the back and neck, moving over the scalp and onto the face. This treatment can increase concentration and can be very effective for those suffering from severe and/or frequent headaches and eyestrain. It can be given to anyone from the age of 6 to 100 and can also be ideal for pregnant women as it avoids the sensitive pressure points on the lower back. It’s also a wonderfully relaxing and energising treatment, relieving stress and reviving the mind. 50 minutes – £35

Hot Stones Massage

A full body massage using specially heated polished stones combined with Swedish Style massage.  Deep massage with pre-blended oils.  The heat from the stones penetrates deeper dimensions of relaxation and soothes aches and pains. In addition helps to detoxify the body. 1 Hour – £40 or 40 minutes £30
