Top Tips to get the best from your Thai Herbal Compress Massage:

A Thai Herbal Compress massage is a real treat both emotionally and physically, so please do indulge as much as you can whilst you are at the studio for your treatment. If you can try to avoid eating a heavy meal or drinking alcohol in the hours before your treatment.

Thai Style Hot Herbal Compress therapy is a deep relaxation and detoxification therapy, often falling asleep, a full body treatment lasts for 70 minutes. You should rest for a period of 30 – 60 minutes following the treatment to allow the body to assimilate the herbal essences and to allow the detoxification process to begin, you are advised to drink lots of water (ideally 1.5 – 2 litres for the next 24 hours) to allow the removal of the toxins and waste products from the body. There may be some reddening of the skin, this is a perfectly normal reaction to increased blood flow in the skin, an increase in urination is also perfectly normal as the body is releasing toxins.

Always tell your therapist about any medical conditions you have. As with all treatments, your medical history will be taken before your treatment and taken into account when choosing the right oils and techniques for your body.

If you are pregnant, or think you might be pregnant – it is essential you tell your therapist.  You must inform your therapist Claire of any skin condition for which you are currently receiving medical treatment.

We recommend you should book a Thai Herbal Compress treatment at a time when you won’t have to rush onto somewhere afterwards because of how calm and relaxed you will feel.
